How to use this
Pick a drivetrain and tire size, then compare the speed table row by row. The easiest gear is your climbing row; the hardest is your top-end row.
Important note
Tire circumference is estimated from labeled tire size, not measured rollout. Actual speed varies with tire model, real casing width, rim width, pressure, load, and terrain.

About this calculator
Built for modern 12- and 13-speed road, gravel, and MTB / mullet drivetrains. It focuses on what most riders actually care about: how fast each gear goes at a practical cadence range.
Why show speeds across several cadences?
One cadence alone can hide useful differences between drivetrains. The cadence-range table makes it easier to see whether a setup has enough top end for fast riding and a low enough climbing gear for steep terrain.
How is tire circumference estimated?
From bead seat diameter (BSD) and nominal tire width - transparent and consistent, without relying on a hard-coded rollout chart.
